Firearms have been the way to end an argument if you're wrong for many years, and will continue to do so over years to come
Reality Lord - March 8, 2012, 5:46 pm

Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest. Mahatma Gandhi

M0rd3kaI - March 7, 2012, 9:06 pm

M0rd3kaI - March 7, 2012, 2:32 pm
Ah, correction... I never said that I collect guns, Christ, I'm too young to own one in my neck of the woods anyway, I do have a air rifle though, but only one item of a particular type doesn't count as a collection in my eyes though.
Mooooooooooooooooooo - March 7, 2012, 12:34 pm
and that's just pathetic and weak....If you want to be tough....try using your hands.
Mooooooooooooooooooo - March 7, 2012, 12:33 pm
OK. Why collect guns then? Does it make you feel like a big man? Guns aren't toys...they're tools. I repeat...Unless you're hunting, you don't need guns, except to shore up your ego.
GySgt1811a - March 7, 2012, 12:26 pm

It is NOT a violent hobby :O good grief man... well, according to world law it's an 'illegal' hobby to shoot people, but not a violent hobby, there is a difference
M0rd3kaI - March 7, 2012, 11:01 am
OH ok, now I'm with you, like magnum vs ordinary rounds (similar, not exact I know) ok, now all the misty cataracts have been removed from my minds ability to comprehend it thanks
Mooooooooooooooooooo - March 7, 2012, 10:16 am
I collect books.....I don't need a violent hobby. (I do own guns, but they provide me with food...not entertainment)
MPsniper - March 7, 2012, 9:55 am
.308 is not military nomenclature. there are different ballistics and pressures. same same as .223 vs 5.56. slightly differing shoulder, but mainly different pressure. you could fire .223 in a rifle chambered for 5.56, but NOT the other way around.
M0rd3kaI - March 6, 2012, 8:13 pm
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't 7.62mm diameter the same as a .30cal?? .308 is 7.8232mm according to my calculations or are you speaking of 2 different rounds completely?? if so, then I retract my statement.
ICEMAN - March 6, 2012, 6:33 pm
All 36 of them (approx).
MPsniper - March 6, 2012, 6:21 pm
.308 is civie. the correct nomenclature is 7.62×51mm NATO
M0rd3kaI - March 6, 2012, 6:06 pm
......... *types witty comeback* ... **** *deletes it* ....... ummm.... AH HA!!!! screw that then... 155mm Howitzer :P (I always thought it's APFSDS not APDSFS?? and oddly I know what that stood for before reading the last line...
M0rd3kaI - March 6, 2012, 6:00 pm
And to everyone's amazement... I'm not American :O South African all the way :P
Mooooooooooooooooooo - March 6, 2012, 5:25 pm
You Americans really love your guns.
GySgt1811a - March 6, 2012, 4:51 pm
Ok, Ok, Ok. Then I'll go with my old standby. A 120 mm APDSFS* depleted uranium round at, wait for it, 5800 fps! (Or, go nuke. That's next.) *"Armor p******* Discarding Sabot Fin Stabilized" (So there! ;} )
kj8541 - March 6, 2012, 11:10 am
Actually it would be a 175 gr boat tail hollow point (or OTM). 168 lacks in terminal ballistics past 600 yds.
M0rd3kaI - March 6, 2012, 8:37 am
~[Cont.]~ but rather a more interesting choice... called the Cheyenne Tactical 419gr .408 cal. there's something to think about ;) lol, but thanks to both of you for keeping my life on the "holy crap I made a mistake" area ;)
M0rd3kaI - March 6, 2012, 8:35 am
Ok, there's where I fell short, although there is a 160gr you guys are referring to the USMC .308?? ok, now I'm with you, but personally, I prefer one bullet above all else, and no I'm not mental to go for the .50BMG or .505 Gibbs, ~[Cont. in reply]~
MPsniper - March 6, 2012, 4:55 am
at 800 yards and beyond, i bump it up to a 190 gr match king.
GySgt1811a - March 5, 2012, 7:23 pm
Ah, we're just being a***. The USMC .308 is a 168 gr. Lake City National Match boat tailed spitzer. But it sure don't matter to the poor fool that gets one between the running lights. Just ignore us and keep up the good work.
M0rd3kaI - March 5, 2012, 5:00 pm
You sure?? (I'm really not going to argue, what I know of ammo can hurt myself) http://picturearchive.gunauction.com/3742193419/9888437/mvc-011f.jpg_thumbnail1.jpg
GySgt1811a - March 5, 2012, 3:21 pm
Thanks, MP, you beat me to it.
MPsniper - March 5, 2012, 2:50 pm
it would actually be a 168 gr boat tail
